What’s on your list?

Is that kind of like “what’s in your wallet?” I’ve been thinking of these lists I’ve seen around the blogosphere lately. What to do in 2007 and what not to do in 2007. Some have listed their New Year’s Resolutions. I stopped making resolutions a few years ago because I never kept them. Why make them if I knew I wouldn’t keep them? GAH, dumb really.

Here I am jumping on the bandwagon for what I would like to do and what I would NOT like to do in 2007.

What I would like to accomplish in 2007. The top ten (if I can think of that many!)

10. Get a gym membership and use it more than once every 3 months.

9. Eat healthier and work out more (see #10)

8. Stop smoking once and for all.

7. Pay down my credit card debt to a liveable amount where I’m not living paycheck to paycheck.

6. Go to more GA meetings and work on my recovery by completing work on the 12 steps

5. Get into a relationship with someone and maybe even fall in love.

4. Learn how to belly dance (remember the Christmas present I got?)

3. Enjoy my new job assignment and be happy with where I’m at

2. Go to NYC at least once

1. Get out from underneath the mess of a mortgage we got from when we got screwed by the Finance Lady.

What I would NOT like to do in 2007

10. Run into the Finance Lady cause I still harbor a huge resentment towards her.

9. Get into more debt (see #7 on the to do list)

8. Lose the abstinence and recovery that I have in GA.

7. Isolate myself to the point I did after surgery

6. Not take care of myself

5. Continue smoking

4. Hate my job

3. have any surgeries

2. have any anxiety attacks to the point I end up in the ER as much as I did in 2006

And the number one thing I do NOT want to do in 2006?

1. Having to take depression and anxiety medication (I’m working on getting off of those with my doctor)

OK, that’s it. Not really thrilling or special, but it gave me something to post for today!

Until next time…

You know what? I think it is going to be a very good year for you, my friend. I have a good feeling about that!

  • I have tried many times to quit smoking. I am still smoking. Its a tough battle to win. I hope that I can stop in the future. Happy New Years.

Mushy, eating like a caveman could be a good thing. At least you know you’re being well fed 😉

Mr. Fab, thank you! I’m looking forward to the new year, that’s for sure!

Anthony, yeah I’ve tried quitting before too. It’s horrendeous. Happy New Year
